9.1.11

     What a chilly day it was today, I believe it was the coldest thus far, right now its about 51 (9:30pm).

     So today my Dad Dirk flew in from Naples, Florida. I ended up taking the skytrain down to the airport to meet him and show him the way back to my new home. I had a few classes at the gym to help out with so my Dad took off on his bike to go explore. You see my Father is crazy about 2 things (Mom you are a given) but the other 2 are coffee and bicycles. So we decided to go out for dinner and of course we had to stop at every bike shop to peer into the windows looking at all the shiny new toys. Of course the same held true for the coffee shops, and there is a coffee shop every block so he was in heaven.

     We ended up eating at a place called Havanah on Commercial Drive. It's a nice little small Cuban restaurant. It was rated like the best place in Vancouver to get Cuban style food, so we thought it might be a nice little treat. The food was excellent and the dessert my Dad got even looked better, always living it up he is. We turned home and it was lights out for us both.
