| Standing on the bike path that runs right next to the bay. |
| Another shot from the bike path. |
| Cool little grassy area were people were laying out. |
| This is a bridge that crosses the bay. |
| Some floating houses were kind of cool to see. |
| Looking somewhat out into the ocean, lots of big rigs cruising. |
| The same bridge as above just from the west side of it. |
This was the bridge I was supposed to go over with my dad for coffee.
| I kept on riding the path next to the bay and here are some of the views. |
Wow what a day! Today started off with me having to go to the gym for 3 hours or so before me and my pops could hang out for the day. Once I got home of course he had explored like all of Vancouver on a bike, so we set out for a ride stopping at a few spots we had chosen before we left the house. We had to hit a few bike shops of course; you can never have to many bikes my dad always said. Made another stop at a Ducati motorcycle shop were we just looked around while I crack jokes about how Ducati haven't won the Moto GP in forever...
We then headed over to "Community Bikes," this place you can rent a bike stand and use all the tools they have in the shop to work on your bike. We ended up waiting for 2 hours because I signed up on the wrong clipboard so all these people who showed up after us got to use a stand before us, lame. What took us 20 mins to do ended up taking us around 3 hours.
Our final destination was this little coffee shop on the North Shore were they did artwork on their lattes, again something my dad loves, ha. We rode through Stanley Park which I must say is quite amazing, there are thick forests, huge trees covering the roads (like your in a tunnel), all kinds of trails to ride your bike on and run, and of course there are some pretty cool spots overlooking the bay. I only had my dads little digital camera to take pics so the quality is not the greatest, my camera still is not here yet.
Oh, I almost forgot, during our excursion through Stanley Park, I had stopped to take a picture of this cool looking bridge when I look over were my dad was waiting I saw nothing. He had not heard me say stop and kept on going down the hill, the spot I was at was were the road split, anyways I took the wrong way and ended up loosing him. So I road home were I hoped he would show up considering the fact I was missing and did not know were the coffee shop he was talking about was. He showed up about 20 minutes later at the apartment and we ended up going out for some dinner. Just a little FYI, Vancouver is super expensive when eating out.
I was not quite tired enough to fall asleep right away when I got back home so I started watching "The Cove," which is a documentary about the slaughtering of dolphins in Japan. It is very eye opening to say the least and it is quite sad to see what these people are doing to these dolphin. 25,000 dolphin are killed every year there in this secret "Cove." If you have not seen this video I really urge you guy's to check it out.
Cheers,
WipFit
